New Equipment To Be Installed At Twilight
Patrons of the the twilight theatre are reminded that the theatre will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday day of next week to permit the installation of new and modern equipment. "When the work is completed," said Ben Spainhour, "our theatre equipment will be the best available, and the same that is now in use at the Roxy Theatre in New York City."
The Projection machines will be equipped with high intensity ares, which will provide an intense white light, rather than the yellow light generated by low intensity ares now in use, Mr. Spainhour explains. This will make clearer, sharper pictured on the screen and provide greater enjoyment of all screen showings on the part of patrons.
Another improvement will include the installation of coated lenses on the projection machines, to further improve the pictures which are flashed in the Twilight screen. And a much larger screen then that now in use will be included in the new equipment according to Mr. Spainhour. "Regardless of the amount of money spent, the equipment in the Twilight Theatre will be the best available."
The theatre will again be open to the public on Thursday evening, when a brand new Trucolor film " The Gay Ranchero " featuring Roy Rogers will be shown with the new equipment. This is rated as top notch entertainment and the public will have an opportunity to sample the new and improved projection following the work of installation.
H. A. Swim of Kansas City, sound engineer, and Ned Busher of the National Theatre Supply Co, Kansas City will come to Greensburg to assist with the work of installing the new equipment.
